Kids Chemo Caps - Making & Donating Hats For Children with Cancer

zak gault before chemo & after
Our Mission:
To provide free knitted, crocheted, fleece/soft fabric hats for those who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. Our goal is to make and donate hundreds of hats from all over the world.

What we need:
Hats in a variety of styles and sizes for kids (infants to teens) on chemotherapy. Hats should be NEW, COOL, FUN, and NON-ALLERGENIC. Preferably hand-made and machine washable/dryable. These will provide a head-covering and brighten the day of a kid with cancer.

Why: Kids Chemo Caps was created for Zak’s Bar Mitzvah “Mitzvah” project. Diagnosed with Leukemia at age 3, and now a cancer “survivor” Zak remembers how different he felt when his hair fell out from chemotherapy. Zak & his older brother Travis want to help kids on chemo by making & donating hats… and getting people all over the world to do the same. They hope this project will also  raise Childhood Cancer Awareness. Read more about Zak here.
